Happy New Year! Upon receiving this message, we would appreciate if each of you would respond and inform us of your status: whether or not you are active and, if not, please contact us so we can update our data base. We understand times are hard and we all need to be diligent in watching out for our neighborhoods. We need your help. It is our hope that our community watch will continue to grow larger and stronger. OUR NEXT QUARTERLY MEETING IS APRIL 24, 2012 AT 7:00 PM. |

| The prevention of crime – particularly crime involving residential neighborhoods – is a responsibility that must be shared equally by law enforcement and private citizens. The fact is, the impact on crime prevention by law enforcement alone is minimal when compared with the power of private citizens working with law enforcement and with each other. Neighborhood Watch is based on this conception of cooperation. When citizens take positive steps to secure their own property and neighbors learn how to report suspicious activity around their homes to law enforcement, burglary and related offenses decrease dramatically. Maintaining an active Neighborhood Watch program may mean the difference between a safe community and one affected by burglary or vandalism.
